There's an old saying that a picture is worth a thousand words (and maybe that's true), but a picture or series of pictures doesn't capture the soul of the land. A picture captures a frozen moment in time and a beautiful landscape is a sensory journey through nature that should be experienced in person. Colin wants people to feel all the emotions and sensations that he creates for his clients, which is why he takes all potential clients to properties that he's designed and to his favorite parks and gardens around Santa Barbara.

Designing a landscape is the result of years of studying the science of horticulture and the principles of landscape design, and also building relationships with gardeners, contractors, nurseries, stoneyards, masons, welders, fabricators etc. More importantly, designing a landscape is a deeply personal experience where Colin spends time with his clients to understand their deep connection to their home and desire to create a special place in nature. For these reasons Coin is incredibly protective of the designs that he's created and the industry professionals that he works with, so he only shows his designs through in-person or video  tours.
